On Saturday 15th February at 2:30 at a special room of the Institution on the 1st floor, in an amicable environment, we cut the pie 2020 of the NGO with many of our beneficiaries, representatives of the Institutions and many of our friends. This came after a special outing of the NGO where 70 beneficiaries and their escorts visited the Evgenidou Institute.
The President and Managing Director of EXELIXI ZOIS, Mrs. Dimitra Kalantoni, thanked the children and everybody else present for their help, support and assistance at the difficult task ahead. She then went on to wish everybody a prosperous new year filled with help and creativity and she expressed her wish that EXELIXI ZOIS would continue to provide children in institutions quality services and multiple activities aimed to foster their education , sports development as well as their artistic , social and psychological development .
She mentioned among others “We want to thank all of you for being here today, at the first cutting of a New Year’s Pie of our organization. We began our work in October and since then we are growing more mature and ready to design and implement programs, to provide quality services to our children. She also noted “The Founding of EXELIXI ZOIS was made possible with the invaluable contribution of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, which I would like to thank once again.”

The event was attended by children from the Children’s Village SOS Varis and Youth Home, the Girls’ Home Agios Alexandros as well as the Christodoulio Orphanage for Girls , which are the three partners with whom EXELIXI ZOIS started its work , always aiming to increase the children in its care , and also by representatives of the institutions and friends of EXELIXI.
Everybody present, about 100 guests, thanked the NGO for its hospitality and work and wished it a bright future, with more activities and more happy children.
Each pie _there were three, each for every institution present _contained a “flouri”, a lucky coin symbolizing prosperity and success and they were won by three children, who received presents from the team of EXELIXI ZOIS.
The room where the celebration took part was kindly donated by the Evgenidou Institute.
After the pies were cut, all the participants had a light meal, kindly donated by the Catering “Dipnosofistirion” as a part of its Corporate Responsibility Program.
EXELIXI ZOIS
The NGO EXELIXI ZOIS was founded in March 2018, and is aimed at minor, adolescents and adults of post-adolescent phase coming from closed care child protection institutes. Our mission at EXELIXI ZOIS is to assist in the care of adolescents aged 12-17, as well as energetically contribute to the care of young people aged 18-25 leaving institutions. We aim to make the transition of one age spectrum to another as smooth as possible and to assist these young people, with the proper care, to claim a bright and confident future for themselves.

The founding of EXELIXI ZOIS was made possible with the valuable contribution and assistance of the (ISFN) Stavros Niarchos Foundation .The ISFN , with its founding donation ,supports the first steps of NGO EXELIXI ZOIS ,and more specifically ,actions on education ,sports , artistic and social development as well as the psychological support of young people who reside in closed care institutions.
